Live one-to-one classes for ages 3 to 6

Classes your child talks back to.

A preschool class built around the pauses. The teacher asks a question, waits for your child to think, hears the answer out loud, and answers back.

Teacher

I have something in my basket. What do you think is inside?

she waits
Your child

Is it a duck?

Teacher

A duck! Let's see together. Can you find something yellow in your room?

The problem

Children this age learn to talk by talking.

Preschoolers spend hours in front of video that never asks them anything. What builds language at this age is the back and forth: someone asks, the child answers out loud, someone answers them. That is the part a screen has never done, and it is the part most parents tell us they want more of.

A class, minute by minute

Fifteen minutes, and your child does most of the talking.

Every class is built around the quiet moments, because that is where a small child gets to be the one with something to say.

  1. Minute 1

    She says hello, by name

The class opens the way a good preschool morning does, with a greeting and a look at what today is about.

  2. Minute 3

    She asks, then stops

A question, and then real silence. Children who need longer get longer. Nothing moves on until your child has had their turn.

  3. Minute 7

Show and tell, with whatever is nearby

She asks for something round, or something blue. Your child runs off, finds it, holds it up to the camera, and she talks about what she sees.

  4. Minute 11

    Side roads are welcome

Little kids change the subject. She follows for a moment, answers the question about the dog, and brings the class back to where it was going.

  5. Minute 15

A goodbye, and a word to practise

The class ends on something your child can carry into the rest of the day, often a new word, sometimes one in a second language.

What is different

Screen time that asks something of your child.

  • Talking, not tapping

There is nothing to swipe. The only way through a class is to speak, which is the practice children this age actually need.

  • One child at a time

No group to wait behind and no hand to put up. The whole class is pointed at your child, including the parts they find hard.

  • Teachers children already love

Classes are built on the kind of warm, familiar preschool teaching families already watch, turned into something that answers back.

Where we are

Working product, early days, a handful of children.

  • A full class runs end to end today: greeting, questions, listening, show and tell on camera, and a goodbye.

  • Children answer out loud and the class answers them back, in real time, without anyone driving it from behind the scenes.

  • We are running classes with a small number of children and changing them week by week based on what those children actually do.

  • First for families teaching at home and children not yet in school, where there is no classroom to replace and the day is already theirs to shape.

  • Parents come to us for one reason more than any other: they want their child talking more, and they want the practice to be something the child asks for.

Get in touch

If your child is three to six, we would like to meet them.

There is a good deal of technology behind a class, including AI, but your child never meets any of it. They meet a teacher who listens. Write to us and tell us how old they are, and we will set one up.
